Island Park 3/3/07

Toured the best parts of Idaho and a little bit of West Yellowstone on saturday... i'm not entirely sure what trails we were on as i just followed the sleds in front of me and went for the ride ... essencially we from Island Park to West Yellowstone, had lunch and came back... i took my camera with me, but once out on the trail i realized i'd left one memory card in my comp and another in my backpack not with me.... so i had afew shot on the internal memory and that's it... so basically snapped afew shots and forgot about the camera...

it was awesome!

Sure are purty helmets... for all I know Paul and you had a couple of short dudes spooning with you on the sleds all day. Solid work

Those pictures are of Big Springs in Island Park, and the cabin in the background is the "Johnny Sack Cabin" (he was some little immigrant guy from Germany who was less than 5' tall).

Awesome area, I'll be up there in a couple of weeks.

Yep that is Big Springs...which also happens to be a few miles east of highway 20 just outside of IP ...I just wish you could fish there!... It was a fun trip there were a couple people who had never been on sleds before so we didn't get to go into the mountains much but it was probably the best trail riding I have done in a long time (usualy don't do muchof that). All of them were freshly groomed and the sides had a good 6-10 inches of fresh powder on them...

All in all it was a good trip

Very fun area to ride. A couple years back stayed in West Yellowstone, rode one day in the park then one headed towards Island Park. Lots of fun play areas!
