Ryan said he was pretty impressed with the Mojave package and I trust his opinion. I’m jelly. I ask my wife all the time if she’s absolutely sure she doesn’t want one for herself.

My wife wants a 392 Wrangler. She just doesn't agree yet

I live in fear I'll get home from a trip and find a 392 or Power Wagon in the driveway (Cindy wants a Power Wagon instead of a JT). I didn't marry her for being practical. But yeah, if I said "hey lets go buy me a Gladiator and you a Power Wagon" she'd be waiting in the truck.

This doesn't help my desire either....but I still can't stomach a car payment let alone the $50k price tag.

Mojave is trim I have Mos likely decided on as well, so seeing that is making it even more difficult ro not go to a dealership
My justification was, I don't think pricing is going to get better. Literally blowing them out right now so they can ship 2024's. It already has more electronics than I want, and thats only going to get worse, so may as well dive into the first gen. The 3.6 can be a bit sensitive to maintenance, so I wanted to make sure I have something thats going to see the right maintenance interval to last. I mostly was able to get it exactly how I would have ordered it. The things missing can be added, got a few things I didn't particularly want.

FWIW I got into mine sub 50k and its fairly equipped.

Anyone thinking, I bought mine from Heritage Auto in Brigham City. They were straight forward no BS hidden crap. I started pulling a trigger on another from Young Jeep, turns out they had $2200 in dealer added accessories they didn't initially disclose in their pricing. Would have love to given Dempsey some business, but the only one I was remotely interested in sold.

I have to say I'm glad I have bad influence friends. Just did 190 miles of dirt in the Mojave and i'm very impressed. I genuinely think it rides better off the beaten path than my F150 did. Jeep did a fantastic job putting that thing together. Look forward to more trips in it.

Edit: forgot to add hit first dirt at 282 miles on the truck. Off-road mpg was right at 15 according to the computer. Filled up in Huntington, put about 4 extra gallons in a gas can. Dumped the extra fuel in when I could because as I feared (the reason I only put 4 gal in) started pissing out the top of the can. 351 total since fill up + 3-3.5gal out of the can. Drove all the way home and showed 90 miles of range left just under a 1/4 tank indicated, and an overall tank average of 17.7 mpg (as the computer says)

Cons-.........nanny systems. My god please tell me one of you knows how to disable AUTO/PARK. That is some seriously annoying shit.IMG_5345.jpeg

Have you figured out how to engage the rear locker while in 4-high? That took me quite a while to figure out.

Didn’t know that was a thing
It’s a little complicated. You have to use the “Offroad +” button and the traction control button before it will let you turn on the rear locker in 4-high. That “Offroad +” button does different things in 4 low vs 4 high. I haven’t explored it fully.

Edit: This relates only to the Mojave, as far as I know.
