You've sure given up some awesome old Jeeps.
Although I'm sure its not the most capable by far, but I've always liked the look of that old cj5 body.

So, although the buggy is the most capable, which one have you had the most fun with?

Definitely gotta say the scrambler was the most fun... from different tops all the time to DD the rig with 44's was down right 4x4 bliss all day everyday!!!

After that was def the sammy buggy I had, same thing DD and super capable offroad buggy & I have to admit it was on the CHEAP!!!

My biggest internal accomplishment was getting a 1ton tow rig and trailer, but I loved the days of flat towing my rigs ~2 hrs one way to the trails as well in the early stages.

Had a wrenching party last friday night and I gotta say it was a super success!!! With 6 guys and a case of beer we did a weekend worth of work in 2.5 hours.

Got the 1tons rolled under the yota (still needs front outboard, steering and brakes).

I like the stance though for sure!!! The picture below is with dodge steelies with a big offset, so with some better wheels I should get the tires right where I want them OUTSIDE THE CAGE.
IMG_4658.JPGIMG_4661.JPGIMG_4660.JPG

Mounted up the Maxxis Crawlers and swapped them onto the buggy so I could get the red lables on the yota. I still got a bit of grooving to finish up, and Im thinking I need to get some walker evans or trailready beadlocks on there with 7" backspace to narrow her up a bit, but overall Im excited to see how they hold up to the thrashing.

1972 Toyota FJ40 Landcruiser

So out with the portals and full tube buggy chassis and into an extreme nostalgic crawler capable of the same!!! Sporting a 120" Wheelbase and dual 4-Link Suspension with king coils up front and 1/4 elliptical in the rear. Runs a TBI350/TH400/Atlas/D60-F/D70-R/KMC beadlocks/40" Treps & 40" GY Spiders on D-Cepeks. Has removable windshield doors and top. I plan on doing the cage in 2" DOM and keeping the full tub with comp cut, but stock looking with 3/16" panels. So far I've made Wayne's Word, Eagles Nest, Sidewinder, HTT waterfall and won 2013 KOW race.... Im anxiously awaiting a Moab trip and Sand Hollow run in this rig! This will allow me more time doing mods instead of working on portals, as well as the opportunity to drive to and from the trail in OHV areas.

I always liked that rig. I remember seeing it in moab about 3 years ago. It looks insanely capable. Still got the yellow yota?

thanks, its def a cool rig and a blast from the past with the 1/4 elliptical... I actually have 3 yotas right now... 81 green with exo and 5.0, 84 yellow with exo & the 72 land cruiser. I may be letting loose of the yellow one soon cause I just don't need a full longbed pickup for an offroad rig anymore.

Nice toys man. just wondering if still have any parts laying around from your portals you wast to get rid of?
I've got some solid axle shafts still laying around and soooo much tech you would fall to the ground (located in West Jordan 317-645-8927)

Is that KC's old Cruiser?

Sure is, def been tested now for about half a year or so... works great, as described when purchased. I haven't had to do anything to it yet, just waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on installing a stinger, new 2" cage, plated body panels with boat sides, 16" coilover's out back w/ swaybar and a smidge shorter wheelbase (120" to 117-ish)

I have however broke 2 dana 70 35 Spline shafts and installed 4340 outers up front due to the use of stickies. People really get a kick out of the 1/4 elliptical rear springs!!!
