Mike, how is the noise factor on the TrekTop? Worse or similar to a stock hard top?
Not quite as quiet as the OEM hardtop but also not nearly as noisy as I thought it would be. My wife even commented about how nice it is to hear the radio and talk while cruising down the interstate. Again, she really likes the Sunrider feature when we are wheeling to flip the top back and have the top open without really having to remove anything. I will keep the top back for anything under around the 40-45 MPH range but if I am going to be getting up over that or back on the highway, I pull the top back into place. It is only about a minute job on this top.
I will admist the new model with the flip up rear glass looks like a very nice feature. My only complaint is the issue of having to undue the tabs under the rails to access the rear area after opening the rear gate. It isn't a big deal but the flip up OEM style glass sure would be nice. I think that model is about twice the price though, but don't quote me. I am afraid to look too hard at that top.
I will be putting my soft top on in about three weeks, you are welcome to get ahold of me and go for a ride if you like to see for yourself.
Mike.
