You're not the only one from RME that will be there...

I think medical & vision bene's kick in after 60 days, 1 year for dental. I got screwed on that one, had to pay out of pocket for a root canal.

This is a Storage Administrator position. As part of the Storage Management team you will work with business units as well as Sever System Administration and Mainframe Engineering to determine backup and storage needs. The computer network consists of a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including a mainframe, servers and workstations, using off-the-shelf as well as custom software applications. Interfacing with users, management, other IS Engineers, and Change Management personnel is critical to success.

Responsibilities will primarily include Veritas Netbackup administration. You will also be responsible Storage Area Network administration, replication administration, and general data management. You will work with a team and good and timely communication will be required.

* Tasks include: Break/fix incidences
* Upgrades projects
* Client installation
* Troubleshooting complex storage and backup issues
* Active communication with the team
* Creation of new storage management standards, policies, and procedures
* Disk provisioning
* Project management

* Experience/Skills: Prefer 3 years IT experience
* Veritas Netbackup or similar backup product
* Windows and Solaris experience preferred
* SAN experience preferred
* Good communication skills and teamwork required

Additional Information:

Systems Engineer - Requieres a Bachelor's and 2-4 years+ of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of programming and systems analysis and related applications.

Located in West Valley.

This is a SUN/Solaris UNIX System Administrator/Engineer position. As part of the Server System Administration team, you will work with a team of Solaris, Netware, and Windows system administrators/engineers, network engineers, and application engineers to maintain and enhance an existing computer network infrastructure. The computer network consists of a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including a mainframe, servers and workstations, using off-the-shelf as well as custom software applications. This position interfaces occasionally with internal users, developers, management, IS Engineers, and Change Management personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include system scalability, redundancy, performance, and functionality of all aspects of SUN Hardware servers including:

* Break/fix incidences
* Upgrades projects
* System customization
* System integration
* Will troubleshoot complex problems with root cause analysis communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to internal customers and management
* Create and follow standard processes, plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document results.

Tasks will be varied and range from day-to-day Sun hardware, Solaris OS, and application run-time support, engineering upgrades and new systems, to supporting process definition and implementation. You will see that operational requirements are met by understanding the project impacts to Service Level Agreements. You will participate in meetings with Project Teams, Architecture Standard Working Groups, and Change Management. Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, system benchmarks, and overall technical acumen is essential. Will be part of the 24/7 on-call rotation schedule.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Solid Solaris experience working with highly reliable/available systems, certified in Sun Solaris administration or equivalent experience.
* Skills in UNIX security, Veritas Foundation Suite
* Experience supporting Oracle and BEA WebLogic (or similar) environments
* Experience supporting Webmethods and JAVA environments
* Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and topology.
