I won't ask you to pardon my language either, because I mean it.

For less than $100 a year you might help stem the tide of land closings that are always looming, but most of you like to come up with some bullsh*t excuse not to pony up, and post threads about your new Xbox or watching a movie.

WISE UP.

I don't care if you do a bunch of trail work on your own (well, that's not true, I love you for it) because the Powers That Be do not recognize you! They barely recognize organized groups.
And while I'm on that topic, the less than 1,000 paying members of U4WDA can't do all of this on their own. Same goes for the statistically tiny numbers of BRC, USA-ALL, etc members.

EVERY F'ING ONE OF YOU ON THIS SITE SHOULD BE A MEMBER OF AS MANY ADVOCACY GROUPS AS YOU CAN.

I got all pissed off reading that post in Land Use again, so excuse my tone, but hopefully you get my point. This is an actual issue, and more so with the coming Democratic "regime". Having spent my formative years in the East, I guarantee you that it is simply unacceptable to sit by and let those kind of land restrictions fall into place here without a fight.

Man up and do the right thing. And if you can give me one reason why you're too lame to spend the $15 that U4 asks for, tell me. I'd love to hear it.

I have spent many hours devising ways to get people to join groups and donate to good land use causes, but for the life of me I never thought of calling everyone a mother fer'. Weird, why didn't that don on me?

I agree with your zeal, and guilt may help on occasion, but this makes it tough to say, "no redneck land abusers here you mother f'ers" ( I don't even know how to abreviate it lol) Pretty low class.

Now go join all the associations above and add the Idaho State 4X4 Association on the list too!

I never claimed to have class.

EDIT: truth be told, I occasionally enjoy using overblown, hyperbolic language to attract attention to an issue. :D

My avatar IS fixed.

Obama's election kind of brings things to a focal point. He is not the issue.

Class warfare and entitlement mentality is. :D When THAT"S fixed, I'll change my avatar. -_-

We need a "Joe The Plumber" for land use rights. Something, or someone that can be the hub of the ethical land use issue. The land use issue is so disconjoined and scattered in its approach it is difficult if not impossible to have a united front.

That being said everyone still needs to back the land use groups of their choosing. They are the voice we have. Even if some of the voices have laryngitis and a potty mouth.

At the very least get educated about this topic. Learn about land use in Utah. Read about some of the core issues that we are facing. In that way we have an educated voice of hundreds instead of a "me too" response. Steve illustrated at the last U4 meeting how educated comments made the difference in keeping some trails open in the last round of rmp's.
