I'll go with you. I haven't wheeled Moab enough this year.

Also, check out the "new posts " link in the upper left and feel free to chime in on others' posts even if you don't know them.

I'll start hitting people up to join them for sure, I just don't know which trails are out of my reach just yet so I'm trying to gauge based on the other vehicles that are going. I don't want to be the guy limiting what trails people do.

Honestly dunno the name of it? It's fairly long and had a somewhat steep rock section on the way out before a long dirt road... several people saw my temp tag in the rear window and warned me about trail damage but I didn't have any trouble. My truck was the TX Pro package so it had a spacer on it at the time.

That's the one. I had fun getting my stock Explorer up that rocky hill a couple years ago, but we made it. :)

In!

you got it Kevin. Give me a month or two to build a new rig. Late December, early Jan? I've been dying to take my wife to the Joint Trail in Needles/Elephant Hill/Beef Basin area.

I'm missing an Elephant Hill/Beef Basin trip with some buddies right now because I don't have a rolling rig, so that sounds awesome.

A month or two to build a new rig, you're a jerk :D. I'm going to be lucky to have my rear main changed and sliders dealt with, no way will I have new springs and my 33s on!

Sounds like we need a few work parties with you, UVURugby, Thardy, me, and Strautins. In fact, UVURugby and I are having a work party this Saturday morning. I'll start cleaning my garage tonight...

Swapping springs won't take long, that's a quick deal.

Having a little work party of my own Saturday morning, Dutchman and another fellow from work are coming over to help me finish stripping down the '86 so I can have it hauled away and get started on the '85.

Strautins, sorry we hijacked your thread! :D

No worries guys, I was a helicopter crew chief before I got sent here and worked at a 4wheel drive shop through high school so I am pretty handy with a wrench if anyone needs help. I'm just lacking a lot of the tools since I usually just use the on base auto hobby shop.

I'm down to go anytime and after mid December I will have a lot more free time since I will finally switch over from enlisted and commission. After I start making the big bucks this truck may need a solid axle or 2"long travel from total chaos...

Nick, I was the one with the tan colored Grand Cherokee that day we all went up Mineral Basin. I am hoping to get in one more trip to Moab before winter sets in as I posted in that other thread, but we will see. You shouldn't have a problem with most of the popular Moab trails, but there are a few that you may want to wait on having 35's to make up for such a long wheelbase.

Small world! Yeah I've heard that I can get through most of the trails but I don't know many by name, really I'm down to try whatever. I'll keep an eye on that thread for a potential moab run.

Thanks for the heads up... I might just grab it there instead of ordering. We'll see, I just got back from a visit to CruiserOutfitters so needless to say I spent my weekly allowance from the wife-_-
