Now that you have a jeep you get to learn all about ford trucks for their carbs, ford cars for their fans, Chevy's for their axles and ignitions, other jeeps for their springs, the list goes on :D

I believe that all Jeeps should be on the Atkins diet... No carbs. :D Everything else is true though!

Funny thing is... this is my bro's old Jeep that he sold back in March! It has resurfaced again! I was looking forward to seeing it all built up back then and now I have the chance to participate in it's build up!

Yep, that's the jeep I used to own. The thing I liked about it was that it wasn't tampered with too much. Still had all the stock equipment. Accept those ugly red seats. I'm assuming they've been changed out. I sold it with a bad carb. Good to hear it's running. Should be a good project for ya. Have fun with it. It's a cool looking jeep. You should be able to find some doors on somewhere on here. Welcome to rme.

thanks man, the red seats are still there...well the passenger one; I pulled out the driver seat and I am going to trash both seats. Not even worth giving them away. They replaced the carb, so it runs great. Its going to be a good winter project, I am thinking of getting a new tub to replace the body on it now...not sure though.

Yea, I was looking for a tub but couldn't find one used that was worth my time. The front end looked pretty good if I remember right. I found quite a few good steering colums for a good deal on ebay. You can also rekey it so the ignition works right, instead of using that redneck rigged button. If you want it, I also have a power steering pump in my basement that will work. You'll notice there's an empty crank belt. I think it'll mount up perfectly with this pump. It has the bracketry and everything. It came off of a wagoneer. All you need is the steering box and pitman to get started on your power steering. I had a lot of big ideas for making that thing cool, but no time to do it. I'm glad to see it running.
