Just got this jeep in a trade looking for info on it it is a 90 yj looks like 98 zj engine trans Dana 44 front hydraulic assist steering ford 9" rear 1/4 elliptical

The trans is bad.I am looking for info on the build. Don't know if it has lockers yet haven't checked into that part

Swap in an AW4?

Is that hard what are the diffrances in the grand Cherokee stuff.
I have a few aw4 trans available

You may need to swap the controls for the engine/trans from the XJ?

I swapped an aw4 into my grand it was easy
