Just have to show off a bit here

The dash on my 12 valve... original, still slightly springy.
I took this pic after cleaning it up from the old dash cover that had been on it since it's first owner took delivery in 98. Second owner kept the dash pad on, and i just replaced it after the foam backing start turning to dust. Keeping the UV off of it seems to have made all the difference.

That dash is a survivor.

My great aunt's couch survived 5 kids and 45 grandkids because she covered it in plastic.
