I will try to get a pick up this weekend, It is bone stock and nothing special done to it other than a edebrock carb. Thanks for the tip on ck5.com awsome web site, what is the rim patteren on the 10 axle and how big of tires can I run on the 10 bolt till I will need to drop the gearing lower, I dont want to put any up grades in them but still be able to lift the blazer and have fun with it till I can get my hands on a dana 60 front axle and the 14 for the rear. These seem to be the most common apllication I have seen on the websites I have checked out for blazers.

Yes you will have to get longer drive shafts, Here is a cool site something I am leaning towards on my blazer..... www.k5crawler.com

I was running the stock driveshaft with my 4" lift on my '72, but it was close to maxed out. Once I moved the axle back 1.5" and added another inch, the stock shaft was way too short.

As far as axles go, like everyone mentioned, ideal would be a d60 in the front with either a 14 bolt or Dana 70 in the rear. I personally decided to go the D60 and D70 route, cause someone sold me the pair with the gears I wanted for $550. Keep your eyes open.

www.ck5.com is where its at... learn it... love it.

With 4" most people get away with stock shafts.

The K5crawler site was cool but CK5.com is diffently the place to be if you hae a blazer or a full size. So I can run a Danna 70 in the rear straight swap, does it matter what it is out of, or is it going to work just as long as it came from a chevy is the danna 70 a 1 ton or a 3/4 ton.
