Kane Creek 12/22- photos added
Gravesdiggerxj (Stratton) and I ran Kane Creek Thursday morning.
Much of the creek was iced over, some crossings enough to hold the weight of the trucks, others we would break and plow on through. Do to running water we would end up breaking and pushing ice 4-6 inches thick. Kinda fun! (except for one crossing when Stratton ended up with front end partially on slabs of ice, rest not and got stuck)
The rest the trail went well.....except... the two times I got the Monetero stuck. First time got hung up on my hitch receiver (really need to get the lift!) and the second ran a line a few inches too far to the driver side and ran part of the frame up onto a rock. Took awhile to get off, but thanks to Stratton's excellent spotting and coaching I was able to get Monty through the entire trail on its own power and with only mild body damage.
Weather was great, the canyon beautiful and all in all a great run!
Hopefully Stratton will add his pics and perspective.
