Kind of itching for a military vehicle; where to look?

Now that my jeep is done and the wifey says don't screw with my Nissan Frontier, i am really itching for a project. This is really stressful for me to not have anything to do. My yard is really coming along but that doesn't give up any real satisfaction...:D

So i've always wanted to restore a WWII or korean war military vehicle. A GMC CCKW 1.5 ton truck, 1941-45 Jeep, Dodge weapons carrier, or something. Hunted online for hours but it's frustrating.

Where do you guys look? Or do you know where something is located private party?

Dealing with dedicated military vehicle sites like the military vehicle preservation association (for which i'm a member) is not ideal since people want too much $$ for their junk. And dealing with a military vehicle collector or dealer is even worse.

This is probably a shot in the dark but any help is still help. :)

ebay, the M715zone.com, Steel Soldiers.. gov liquidation, etc...

Steel Soldiers has a good cross-section of stuff available, from early WW2 stuff up to current, the Zone has M715's and whatever else the members are into, ebay has everything else. The MVPA and Olive-Drab.net used to have classifieds, it's been a long time since I looked there...

... and of course, if you want a non-stock military trail rig, my M715 is for sale, though I'll weep if it stays that close. :( I just can't justify building it really.

Ron, if you really want one, ready to go, I'll take you to see Jack. :D He's got like 65 runners, which he's reasonably proud of, but I would bet he's got some fixer-uppers. Having helped hotrod a couple Deuces back east, I can tell you right now that you currently do not have the space or equipment to work on one hahahah but that could change!! Perhaps it's time to get a rental space... We used a gantry crane to remove the engine on one, and a HEMMT crane mounted to the finished truck to remove another. :D Of course, I don't have to tell you any of this. :D

anyway I'll try and stop by this weekend, we can mull it over then. Whatcha drinkin'?

Thx for the replies. Not too interested in a M35 Duce (it's a little big) haha
I'm not a big fan of the M715 i'm afraid. Too bad because they are easy to come by.
I've been checking these other sites as for some its been a while.
I haven't been to smith and edwards in a long time but i don't recall any WWII/Korea era stuff there. It's worth checking out.
Tacoma, Sunday would be good if you want to stop by. I'll be bending tube for spare tire carriers for a couple YJs. I've met Jack but i've been under the impression that he doesn't necessarily sell or deal in parts, he just collects :)
