ok so I'm missing a piece then, in your pic with the spring and the two metal pieces I'm missing the middle part

you keep losing me with this two piece caliper crap.the caliper should be one piece.it can be separated but it should have come together even new.

The caliper comes two ways; one without the mounting bracket and with the mounting bracket (in the picture I posted above). Without the mounting bracket they are much cheaper - I want to say half? I don't have a price sheet in front of me. To me brakes are not where you save money, so I would buy the one I posted above for about ~$60.

That's the part that holds the caliper in :D

You'd have to buy a hardware kit to get it. Ford/Motorcraft part number is BRPK5533A and that will do both sides (everything in that picture). You can also get two Raybestos H55292.

There should be 2 per caliper and they go in the 'slide' area so that the caliper can slide to side without problem. If it can't, then you will wear out one pad or the other, not both at the same time.

ok peeps thanks for the help!!! Just got the bracket I was missing from the junk yard :) we are good to almost go
