Know an emissions guy that accepts donations?

I'm in search of a good place to get my the emissions done so I can register my 2016 F150. Specifically, one that has poor eyesight and is willing to accept cash donations...for better glasses perhaps. That part is none of my business.

Anyone have such a place on deck that could work with a guy? My truck hasn't been registered in 5 months and I can't afford a new cat, allegedly.

I am not aware of a way they can cheat the current emissions tests, They plug into the OBD2 port of your truck and the VIN has to match the VIN on the registration.

Not to mention the penalty for getting caught is STEEP and includes possible jail time for the technician.

The only work around is to license it at an address in a county that doesnt require emissions which I do not condone this type of behavior.

You can register it in Montana. But that may cost more than a cat, but maybe not depending on the cost of a cat nowadays.

I have a car that won’t pass due to a check engine light being on for a transmission code. However the transmission shifts just fine.

I’m planning on registering it at my buddies house in Mt Pleasant.
