What's nutty is that's the same car they drove in UROC a LOOOONNG time ago. Built around 2005-ish I'd guess?

Yeah, it's been around forever! Crazy that they're so competitive in KOH, STILL. Brad just said they've been racing the same car for 15 years at KOH now.

Just because I am old.

I don't think KOH has been around for 15 years yet. First year I believe was 2008 when Shannon won it and second crusade was 2009 when Jason Schreir won it...

Can't say enough good things about Brad and Roger though... Both have been taking the high road for a long time in the motorsports world. :D

Yeah, your right.... 2007 was the first year. Brad said during an interview that they'd been racing that truck at KOH for 15 years, perhaps he just meant that had been racing that truck for 15 years?

I am a work so I can't see the car, but it seems like Bart ended up with the Super Ranger for a while. So it could easy be the '05 car that they raced XRRA with.

Anything those boys build seems to work well.

In my head 2007 was the informal run of the hammers to see if it could be done, the first official KOH was 2008... but we are just splitting hairs there... ;)

This is my understanding of the Lovell brothers Rangers. The Ranger I had was the original rock crawler they built and ruled the Modified Stock class. It was turned into an early Ultra 4 racer and I believe was in a couple of KOHs. Roger built an almost exact twin to it and lost it in a roll on the Pikes Peak race. It's a crazy scary crash if you can find the video of it and Roger is lucky to be alive after it. The Ranger they are racing now was originally built in 2007 and it's first KOH was in 2008, and it's amazing that it's still as competitive as anything out there in its class.

Been a fun week for us. We pitted for the Toyota's in the EMC 4600 again this year. Not quite the race we had last year (Justin/4619 took 1st) but he pulled off a 5th place finish and the 4Runner made it ~126 before timing out. We worked Main pit until both had cleared and then made our way out to Pit 2 and Chocolate Thunder to watch them come through and then a dash to see Justin finish in Hammertown.

Yesterday we just relaxed and watched the T1 race, very subdued compared to Baja but I guess there is never a bad day to watch a Trophy Truck blast by.

Today we were stationed at Pit 1 for Tom Ways. He came through the pit on Lap 1 but succumbed to a suspension failure as he was starting into Lap 2. We packed up and went to Back Door and Hammertown to finish watching.

That sounds like a nasty suspension failure crashing into some sort of barrier by the base. Seems like it should have had a hazard marker on it. Too bad he was dq’d for the way he went about getting it fixed.
