Last nights rain = no stereo

So i think last nights rain storms took my stereo for a swim, so i guess im in the market for a new one, any suggestions on what to get and where to look? i would like one thats a little more water resistant than the old one

When you say "stereo" are you talking about the unit in the dash or speakers and amplifiers?

A marine deck will be more water resistant than an automotive deck. Or you could put a "marine housing" around a standard deck but in most cases would require some cutting to fit.

Yeah, just the deck, the speakers are fine, i had a tarp over the jeep, but the water puddled up on it, and the tarp creased and all the water poured right into the deck, the speakers were chirping and the jeep wasn't even turned on

lol yeah a lil late now, i'm just glad i tore up the carpet last summer, the stereo was really the only thing i was worried about with rain, and now i guess i won't need to worry about that anymore.....

I just installed a smittybilt stereo console because of that problem
