Is anyone as unhappy with it as I am? They completely fubar'd main street traffic from Layton to kaysville. Why they didn't run the over pass across the freeway at an angle like the original one did and keep main street intact is beyond me. What a complete waste of tax payers money. Rant off...

The railroad crossing is the only good thing about it. They could have incorporated that into it no matter how they did it. I just think it was done half assed not to mention the parcel of land it landed on on the east side of the freeway was owned by the chairman of udot. I can only imagine he paid himself a pretty penny for it. He is putting a gas station on the corner of Layton parkway and fort lane. I think they should have put a four lane over pass following the same path as the previous over pass. Then countinue the four lanes all the way to kaysville which the road is already wide enough for. That would have made a four lane road all the way from 12th st to Farmington.

There will be a hospital going in just south of the overpass in the field there.

This completely ruined Layton for me. My parents live in that subdivision south there (where I grew up) and it makes it a COMPLETE PITA to get there and to get back to the freeway.

I hate it.
