Leaf Springs mod

post some pics of the truck. I'm curious. And I would never add lift you don't need, just pull a leaf our of the rear pack. Maybe the overload. It sounds like you haven't even trimmed fenders yet?

Another option to supplement your pack is some from an s10. They are spring under from the factory and have pretty good arch.

That's what I ran/run until I pulled that rig apart . They worked fantastic and flexed like crazy, They only gave me about 3-4 inches of total lift from stock so I had some 2' alloy blocks. I was looking for some 63's but now that I've read this thread I think I will put them back on this rig as well and just go with a little longer shackle, this rig will not sit as high as the other did. s10 springs are 25.5 eyehole to center both directions with no weight on them. Weighted I think they are about 56" long

With the s10 springs you will have to move the front perches up on the frame about 5" but thats super easy for anybody with a welder. (and there's plenty of them on here that would be willing to help I'm sure)

Good luck

Thanks for the awesome thread guys, made up my mind for me

Either the initial feeling of the lift has subsided, or perhaps the springs settled a bit, but im ok with the height its at now lol. Ill try and update with a better pic tomorrow.

adding one leaf with matching arch will add 1"of lift and 800 lbs capacity. the toyota springs are metric 60 MM by 7 MM thick which is about 2 3/8" wide by .291" thick. you can use other stockers to level it but no guarantee on matching arch ultimately rearching and adding a leaf is the way to go to just cure sag. s-10's are 2 1/2" wide by .323 thick. this will change ride and flex dramaticaly stock yj springs work great in the front and 3rd gen pickup works great in the rear especially if your converting from coils. don't know if i'm much help but can help with leaf spring questions if you have any. did i mention i did suspension mostly leaf springs for six years?
