i am just curious if anyone else is running leafs on the front of their xj like me.
i have my leafs and everything and i should get about 9-9.5 inches of lift out of them. all i have to do now is weld the spring shackle hanger up. i am running waggy d44's f/r.
anyway, let me know if you are doing something similar.
alot of people think leafs suck but they are crazy! thats my opinion, you are welcome to your own.

thanks,
nate

Ike Potter, my former manager at Mr 4x4 did this to his. It looks good with 10" of lift and 35's. I'll see if I can get some picks of it.

well i went in there about a year ago and asked them how well lock-rights worked for the d35 (this is while i had stock axles) and he said that it works great but he doesn't wheel it. thats cool though he might of been messing around i always joke about that stuff and tell people that i built my 9.5 inch custom lift so i could go over medians on state street to do u-turns. my jeep will never see state street!
thanks for the info,
nate

Why would anybody run 10" of lift for 35" tires? I'm running 38's with no more than 8" of lift, if not less...

i am saying it will be a month or two. i was shooting for EJS but i realized it was impossible.
i still have to build my exo-cage and try to stiffen my unibody
and i need to get drivelines, steering and finish up my front suspension.
thanks for thinking it is cool,
nate

yeah i've seen the carnage crew site. his jeep is cool. mine will look a lot like it but i took my doors and rear hatch off, and its a 2 door. plus i don't think i would tie in a cheasy front brush guard into such a pimp exo-cage (opinion). cool jeep though!

do you guys run into spring wrap issues when you go leafs up front? I would think building a long arm suspension would be just as easy as hacking off the entire setup and installing leafs.

what are the pros and cons of this mod? I know it is rare to say the least.

Well, he's modest. Not really the bragging type. I guess he doesn't get out as much as we'd like but he's a member of naxja and goes to Moab regulary. I guess the wife and kids and job thing keep him tied up a bit.
