July 16th, 2008 @ 6:42pm
PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Almost three weeks after suffering a gun shot wound to the head, Lehi Police Capt. Harold Terry is out of the hospital and recovering at home.
Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank says Terry was released from the hospital last Saturday. She was unsure of Terry's condition upon release, but says doctor's don't send patients home before they are ready.
Terry was shot twice above his left ear June 23 at a Lehi gas station by Kelly Wark of Washington. Wark was sitting in her car with a .38-caliber handgun. Her family says she had struggled through a long history of mental illness.
Doctors removed bullet fragments from Terry's head.
