I think there are lots of good ideas here. I already have some in place.

I have always wondered why I don't pack more like I'm backpacking when I go in the jeep. Then I remember, "I have a fridge," and I bring every thing I own.
Really the most bulky things I bring are,
Spring bar tent. It is the smallest one. Not really wanting to go with a nylon tent, so I guess I'm stuck here.
Sleeping bag. I hate mummy style bags. Love my canvas/ Cotton bag. Roomy. Yes I bring a pillow.
Camp chairs. They go on the rack. But I do hate them.
Camp kitchen. Yes I could just shove it all in a shoe box, but I don't want to.
Maybe I just need an F250? After the wheel stand I did on the Hole in the Rock trail, I probably need to down size a bit:)
