Just thought of another EXTREMELY well done rig that I've always liked. I only saw it up close once.

tri-county gear YJ

03074wd_09z+Jeep_YJ+Rear_Driver_Side.jpg The tri-county gear YJ was always one of top favs. Saw it compete in 01 in chili challenge. in those days there were no buggies that I remember but a lot of highly modified rigs. the things this rig could do would simply amaze!!

That FJ-60 brings back memories. I learned to drive in two different trucks. A 1975 GMC K-25 and a 1985 Toyota FJ-60. The Land Cruiser was a heavy tank. 5700 lbs. unloaded with a straight 6, 4speed manual tranny. Years ago in January of 1987 we had a 4 foot snowfall over night. My dad and I drove the Land Cruiser through all the deep snow with just a set of bias ply snow and mud tires. I think they were a 9.00 16 or a 7.50 16. Anyways, the damned thing just went. Virgin snow and all. My Dad tells me that was the best vehicle he has ever owned for snow.
