Let's talk razors...

Well sence there is a RME beard thread, let's talk about razors for us that shave I have to shave my face every day. I've been using a Mach 3 razor. They only last about 5 days before they are dull. What have you found that works amazing???

Mach 3 Turbo here, been a Gillette fan since 1993 or so.

I've used all kinds of different razors and none seem to stand out above the rest. I find myself buying the mid-grade disposable multi packs. I have literally a dozen different fancy expensive replaceable blade gimmick razors, but none of them do a much better job than the mid-grade disposables, so I don't buy the crazy expensive refills.

I'll have to look at the ones I'm using now to see what they are. They might be a disposable version of the Mach 3. They were on sale.

I have been using the mach 3 also for my face and head. I shave my head every other day. Theywill usually last maybe 1 week or a couple more days. I did what cody did and got some decent name brand disposibles and they cut my head up pretty good. So I switched back

This right here. I favor at least 2 blades, singles rip the hell out of my face for some reason. I would love to straight razor myself every day, but it's scary and takes a lot more committment and enthusiasm than I've really got for shaving. Heck of a smooth shave though.

i havnt put a razor to my face in probably 8 years. disposables never worked well for me. my hair is too thick. i had a realy nice double edged razor that worked pretty well if the blade was changed every couple of shaves. one shave per edge. electric razors just got jamed up and pulled out hairs. i now use hair clippers with no attachments.

I use the Gillette Fusion with the Fusion shaving cream. I've found the cream makes as much of a difference as the razor. I used to use the Mach 3 until the Fusion was released a few years ago, I don't think I could go back to the Mach 3 now. Even though I probably should shave every day or every other day, I usually shave once a week.

Also, I heard you should shave with cool/cold water so I tried it and had far less irritation afterwards.

I don't have too much facial hair to be too proud about, but I just run over it with clippers every few days as well. I hate razors and I hate being smooth... for whatever reason.

2 years - push pull click click, 1-year straight edge, 4 years gillette, 15 years Remington electric and the last 39 years Norelco electric. Shave every day the last 28 years.

if i ever had to look respectable for any length of time, i would have my neck lazered and grow a short, easy to manage beard. thank god im a dirtbag and dont have to look respectable. i would hang myself with a tie before i would wear one every day.

I was using the Fusion, got tired of the insane price on replacement cartridges, so I am back to the Mach 3 with Nutrogena shave cream.

I use single edge injector when I shave. I've had the same blade package for about 2 years.
Most of the time I use an electric trimmer every 3 or 4 days.

Man, I must have really fine facial hair, a Mach 3 blade will last me 6mos to a year, shaving once or twice a week. I find the biggest difference is shaving right after I get out of the shower, my whiskers soften up like pasta.

Same here.... gave up on the expensive ones.

Mach 3 had the same razor for the last 8+ years Just use hand soap and shave while I am in the shower...

I have been wanting to buy a straight razor for a while now just haven't coughed up the $$ to do so.

Most of you young punks must look scruffy all the time. I don't understand what a two or 3 day growth has going for it except thats what movie stars do and it takes less time.

I use the Mach 3 also....
They dull fairly often, weekly.
Expensive refills but it's the price to pay for smooth balls......
