I was looking at doing the same thing to my 94 1500.
And I was looking at kits that had replacement springs. However, my research showed that that may not be the best setup for Dodges. I'm told (and perhaps Big Sarge can chime in here) that there are many many different part numbers for springs on Dodges. Different spring rates depending on the options that you got w/ the truck. Down to A/C even. So this changed my thinking a bit. W/ kits that have replacement springs, they probably won't have a spring w/ the same spring rate that you have stock. Meaning that your ride w/ suck!

I've talked to a few folks and Bid Dick Suspensions is suppose to have a real nice kit. W/ Spacers, not springs. And w/ shocks, you're still around $450 I believe.

Just my $.02.

Good point. Note that Skyjacker lists different springs for vehicles of different weights and engine packages. This is so you can get the optimum ride out of it. As always though, when you go with a new spring you'll get a rougher ride. That's inevitable. Skyjacker's spring technology is pretty good, they've got their springs worked out well enough. They're one of the softer springs around.

Don't get new springs you won't be able to get the same ride and flex trust me the flex you will get out of that lift above trail master I think It is cheep so yo can save your money for the custome stuff later. but I would do custom Sh!t after the Mopar stuf breaks. It will! and it is so expensive. I wish I had mine back now that I know so many people that can do custom stuff.

I like skyjacker. My explorer had skyjacker softride 4" and it rode great. it stiffened up the factory ride with front and rear replacement springs but it was still soft and supple. I will go skyjacker with all my future lift needs when I buy a kit. Easy to install and reasonably durable.
