I swear when I was a kid, my dad would pull in to the garage and roll his windows down. His little truck would fumigate the 25x25 garage so bad it smelled the next morning when I walked out to go to school.

My dad got in my car once when I was like 19 and tore off my air freshener and threw it out the window. It was quite the tantrum. Now I totally get it because scents bother me to the point where I feel like I’m allergic to just about all of them. I’m just glad my wife is part hippie cause she only uses natural scents in our house. No smelly soaps or lotions, nothing.

Same. I can handle citrus stuff, I have a sage and citrus air freshener in the truck that I like a lot. But I can't walk down the laundry soap aisle at the grocery store without getting a headache, and I have TOTALLY complained to my HR about coworkers that won't stop taking a bath in perfume before coming to work.

Coworkers are the worst for that. They had some awful lotion in the ladies room at my office that a coworker must’ve completely covered herself in every time she used the bathroom. I hated it so much I had another coworker make it disappear 🤣

Some people don’t believe the headache thing and say reacting to it is fake. Non-believers.
