I used to work nights for a company that made custom parts for medical devices and while the CNC was sweet, my favorite part of that job was using the lathe. I was never doing anything super intricate, just making a notch or putting in a screw hole on the end of something. But there was just something so cool about it. Kinda like having a bolt action rifle, it just felt manly!
