what the... anti wrap spring is a bandaid? and a 50$ winch is pretty cheap compared to linking it..

and suck down being a bandaid. then why do most of the pros do it?

people and there calling everything besides the link kit they bought a bandaid and now lets talk about bandaids.. they help .. and make things better..

so now whats wrong with using bandaids?

the cool kids might think your a wimp?

Yes, anti-wrap leaf is a bandaid....it tries to help the inevitable spring wrap, You can add a link or two to help, or you can add a couple more links and get rid of the leaves all together. If you end up with less desirable handling, you can bandaid other things too.

Everything is a compromise.

That said, I'll vote for the rear first, if you're only doing one end. It's easier than the front, therefore cheaper and quicker, meaning you can get back to wheelin' sooner rather than getting burned out building and never wheeling. :)

I've spent the last decade using bandaid fixes to make up for my cheap/ignorant/unskilled building choices. Bandaids do indeed work, but they are a compromise. I could get custom alcan packs, or build a anti wrap gadget, or various other ideas. To me, that's just a waste of money and time since the bandaids only fix one of the various problems.

My rear suspension performs well enough for my needs at this point.

My front suspension is the one in need of help in all of the ways mentioned. I have about half of the parts required to link it with TJ coils. Any time and money that I spend on bandaids just keeps me that much further away from my solution.

I vote link the rear first. (my front had reversed military wrap alcan, and has had for many years of hard wheeling.)

if i was doing it and could only do one i would do toyota rear springs 92 and newer i believe and fj60(or any forward facing pitman arm steering box) shackle reverse. Lots of flex, good ride, great approach angle

and link the rear

x2 on this i think a linked rear is far better in added traction than a linked front if you have to chose
