Little Deer Creek

I haven't been up to LDC for quite a few years, but have used the newer trail head they did a while ago to bypass the lower water crossings. We went on a family wheeling trip yesterday and headed up that way. Got to the trail head and it has been posted "No Motorized Vehicles". Maybe this is been covered on this forum, but I did a search and couldn't find it. Is it now closed from Provo Canyon up to Cascade Springs? I know it's open for Cascade Springs to the north.

We continued on up to Soldier Hollow and went over the mountain into Cascade Springs, then over the Alpine Loop to Tibble Fork and up that way. Had a great day but was curious about Little Deer Creek.

Last time I was up there, the new bypass was closed by gate midway up. But you can travel about halfway down the Little Deer creek trail from Cascade springs before running into yet another gate installed by a private owner.

that road is suppose to be the new route to keep the vehicles out of the stream, it does go through private lands but supposily a deal was worked out between the LO and the blm or whoever it is to reroute people. thats why we had a project fencing the parking lot up there.

Yeah, I helped lay out that new road with the BLM and the manager for the land owner, that's why I was surprised to see it closed. It wasn't as fun as the river crossings, but was scenic. So I'm guessing from the bottom you just go up the way we originally did.
