well now that everyone knows you got it for basicaly free were all going to try to low ball you if you sell it.. might as well use it for yourself :)

Yeah I figured that it would be a mistake to let out how much we paid but I couldn't resist. Besides the last time I had a 60 front and 14 bolt rear no one on RME would come with cash and pick it up so I ended up selling the axle set on Pirate.

Who cares if he got it for free. That axle is worth ~$1000-1100 no matter what he paid for it.

Good find there Dave. When I got my front 60 for my buggy, I paid ~$500, but had to drive to Reno to get it :D

You gave him life. He should give you the axle and help you install it in your commando, then when that is finished he should buy you a steak dinner to tell you thanks.

We visit several of the places where you pull the parts here in Salt Lake. The key is that you need to be a regular visitor since the inventory turns over quickly.

yea, they probably had just got it in, and no one had seen it yet. Im suprised the local 4x4 shops arent on a list to buy them all when they come in... oh yea there arent many 4x4 shops left in buisiness.

Lightning does strike in the same place twice

Well you guys convinced my son to hang on to the 78 HP60 so he went out again to see what he could find and guess what ? Yeah he found several more. We snagged one from an 86 F350 that was a nice king pin 60 so now we have one to keep and one to clean up and sell. We did see two more HP60's one was from a 90ish F250 and the other was from a 04 F350. Both of these were ball joint style but if someone were going to narrow one they could put different outer stuff on them. We also found a HP D44 on a 77 F250 if someone wanted one of those. If you want to know were to go look at them, send me a PM and I'll tell you where to find them since my back doesn't want to lift any more of these.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's a D44. I'll bring you $100 and take it off your hands :p

I've got three of those besides the two 60's so no fooling me on that one ;) Now if I could get my SIL and his brother to build the 44s I can get some room in my garage.
