Well for fun last October I ordered a new Unlimited. I ordered it in the Rescue Green color with the six speed and the MyGig Radio. It was beginning to look like it might come in sometime in May. So yesterday my salesman gives me a call and says he traded a 2dr Rubicon for this 4dr and why don't I come down and take a look. My wife and I had talked the night before and pretty much decided not to get a new one but thought we might as well go down so we could at least get my deposit back. This one is blue, an auto and has the single disc player. I had shoulder surgery Tuesday so when we got there my wife drove at first on the test drive. As I chatted with the salesman I kept glancing at my wife who couldn't stop grinning. I drove the last half mile and was very impressed with the power. It had more pep than my Jeep. We got back to the dealership and I asked my wife what she thought and I knew we were getting it when she said with a grin "I really, really like it!" Then in true Jeep girl fashion she said, "I just wish it was stick." Because I'm one armed and in pain unfortunately she drove it home and I haven't even drove yet except in my driveway and even worse it will be 3 months before my shoulder is well enough to start modifying it. I guess that will give me time to plan:D

Sorry for the long saga...just thought I'd give the whole story.

Here is a couple of pics. My wife and kids helping get the soft top out and then my wife posing with it.

WOW! Congrats! We're seriously considering one as a replacement for my wife's ZJ. Keep us updated on what you like and don't like. I'm kind of hoping they come out with a bigger motor or something over the next year or so. The 3.8L isn't bad at all, I just think we'll see something bigger.

Just as an aside, Mt. Logan has their 4 door down here (Moab) this weekend. It looks AWESOME on some 35 or 37" tires. There was a 2 door Rubicon that followed us through Pritchett and it looked like it did fairly well.

I wanna see it with all doors/top off

My wife leaves today for Oz for two weeks and my shoulder being what it is it will probably stay in its current configuration for a while. As soon as I get the garage cleaned out (refinishing the basement so the funiture is in there) it will remain topless and doorless for the rest of the summer.

Spencurai you sure are right about the mountains. If my two kids were in that pic it would be everything I love (ok technically my sled would have to be there).

I can't wait to start playing with it.

I'll buy the tires when you start the mods;)

I'll keep that in mind, what are they worth to you? Do you want the rims to? Does anyone else want the rims if he doesn't?

My buddy has some half gone 35" 17's that I'm thinking might look good on it :D

They changed them to 5 on 5...why I don't know:mad:. I'l probably need a little more than $50 out of them to make it worth it. PM me when you get ready and if I still have them we'll talk. I usually only put 10,000 miles a year if that so they should last a while.
