Looking for a jeep trans expert.....

to help me diagnose trans problem. Been to the dealer 4 times for this and everytime I go it just seems to get worse. I took it in the first time because the clutch would creak about half way through the action and the clutch was getting stiff. They replaced some stuff in the trans. Jeep still did the same thing, took it in a couple more times for the same thing they didnt know what it was. I then took it in to get the rear main seal redone and when i got it back I had several new trans issues, downshifting is very rough, makes you cringe when you hear it. And the other issue that occured was that my idle had dropped from 800 rpms to around 400rpms. Not sure how the idle was related but it started happening after that visit. Then took my jeep in again for the same grinding noise and idle thing, and the dealer replaced the trans and told me the low idle was due to my aftermarket exhaust. Yeah that round muffeler i stuck on from magnaflow, yeah thats what did it. Well the trans is worse than ever, and now when i take off without giving it some gas the jeep has developed a new very loud rattle from undernath the passenger seat somewhere. As you can see my experience with the dealers have not been fun, and just want a real person to tell me what is wrong.

4.5 RE LA kit
33" mtr's
arb bumper
bored out throttle body
magnaflow muffler
and some other stuff!!

How many miles? What stuff did they replace in the transmission? Did they replace the throw-out bearing?

16,000 miles, I know the throw out bearing hasn't been replaced. Dont have the wo with me otherwise i would let ya know. I have smoked the clutch on at least one occasion. Figure i took some life off of it, but didnt think 16 k would do it in.

ya throw out bearing or maybe just your tranny is junk...... PERIOD

have them replace the whole tranny under warranty.

The loud rattle under the passenger side is most likely a loose exhaust hanger, or the exhaust pipe knocking against something.....something along those lines. As for the rest.....
