Please give me some input on various Dana 60 housings. Cost to narrow?
Good and bad reguarding Dodge Dana 60.
Hub looks funny to me on a 1980 dodge that I looked at today.

Front, naturally. :)

Well the easiest to use is a 60 from a 78/79 250HD/350.
Leave the short side alone, shorthen the longside, have a inner shaft made....
Hard part is, 60 frt are hard to get and $$$$$$$ as we all know, now you are looking for 2 year only unit! hard to find and $$$$$$$$$$ if they know what they have!! I have gotten them for cheap too. Also, not all f250hd's have 60 frt. Most are 44's, look for a camper special, ussually they are 60's......

I run a late model kigpin 60. Kept it full width. Hardest part about anything other than 78/79 is the short side is short. Not a lot of room for link mnts/C's. Also, the frt driveline runs at a compound angle. It can be done though....Also, a 60 in the frt of an EB is tight!!! atleast 3 1/2" of lift and pumpstops to keep it from hitting the oil pan.

Would a high pinon help or hinder driveline clearance under a bronco?

Pretty much has to be a high pinion for pinion angle reasons. he frt driveline is short! All the good Ford donnors are high pinion.
Not as much a pinion clearance issue as the top of the dif. You can come take a look at mine if you want.
