I haven't been through my pics yet from Saturday. I have 2GB of pics though. I was on the east side stands. Great pics!

Rick Huseman in the Traxxas Pro-4 truck, and Kyle LeDuc in the Rockstar Pro-4 truck had an insane battle throughout the second half of thier final race. Rick Huseman's driving gave me goosebumps as he seemed to never let off the throttle, and didn't even consider touching the brakes.. This was the fastest most intense race for anything i've ever seen... These two racers were 100% balls to the wall until the finish line.. On the last lap in the last turn LeDuc got into the rear of Huseman, almost spinning him out.. Huseman somehow straightened it out while on the throttle and was able to keep the lead, putting him on the podium for 1st.

These pics were taken from each progressing lap from about lap 6 or 7

An interesting tidbit that i'd not known before, is that these guys all design their own tread patterns.. They'll get a sort of unfinished M/T or A/T tire from Toyo, General etc, and then a guy cuts a tread pattern before each race, specifically for each track consistency.. Pretty badass to watch..

That is an impressive lens you've got there, Griz. Nice pics!

I was there for finals.. Just half of them though. After reading about the Pro 2 race on the Lucas site, I knew I missed so e serious action.

Thanks for all the kind words about my photos.

Awesome pictures, Jason! What kind of camera/lens are you using? I, too, thought the tire grooving was pretty badass

Thanks! Nikon D70S with a Nikkor 18-70mm 3.5-4.5 DX (67mm dia) for the close up shots. Any shots of the racing I used my Nikkor 70-300mm 4-5.6 (62mm dia). I also always have on a 67mm Tiffen circular polarizer filter w/ 62mm adapter, and collapsable hood.
