I was just wondering where lower diff hanger was compared to upper diff hanger. Is it the creek bed that is just about a hundred feet past the entrance to upper diff hanger?

Lower is the same creek bed as upper, just on the south side of the improved road vrs upper on the north. Most of us run them both upstream, but it is a bit difficult to explain how to find the entrance to lower, and there is no reason you can not run it down stream.

have you been up the one that is just down from it. I walked up it a couple days ago and I can see were tires have gone over some of the rocks. Is that a trail or just some people exploring?

There is a trail called "Gremlin" that is on the same side of the road as Diff Hanger. The entrance to it about 100' or so from the entrance of Diff Hanger. It is a short but fairly difficult trail.

As Scott stated, Lower Diff is the portion of the wash that is below the dirt road.

Where is Gremlin in location to Judgement Day?

Way closer to Diff Hanger than it is to Judgement Day. Go about 100' East from the Diff Hanger Trail head sign and this is where Gremlin starts. It is maybe only 1/4 mile or so long and it ends back at one of the improved gas well roads. The trail is quite a bit tougher than Diff Hanger and Lower Diff Hanger, but not near as tough as Judgement Day IMO. I'd rate it at about a 4, maybe a 4+.

That is one of the cool things about these wash bottom trails. 2 years ago CCKC(I think JKS was a leader) lead U4 through lower diff. If I remember correctly there were 30-40 rigs that day. It rained just after, and you could not hardly tell a sole had been there, let alone a large group. The Price BLM has indicated they prefer the wash bottom trails for similar reasons. With any luck we will still have them in years to come.
