Lowrance GPS maps ?

I finally pulled the trigger an a decent GPS.

I bought a Lowrance Elite 5 Gold with the external antenna with a custom mount etc...

Anyone know where I can get a UT state or Southwest states topo map with the roads and trails without spending $100 for the one Lowrance sells ?

I think Sawtooth started a thread a little bit ago with some hosted GPS maps too.

I get my maps from miscjunk.org don't know if they are compatible with lowrance or not.

Ive found a bunch of stuff for Garmin but not much for Lowrance...

I have a .usr file I can send you. I need to look at the size of it to see if it would be better to put in dropbox.

A .usr file is the gps file that hold waypoints, trails ect. A usr file will not hold any maps. I have tons of.usr files from a lot of my rides if your interested in those.

I have a western US file in my Lowrance, so whatever the file extension is, I will locate it.

I downloaded dropbox and it says the folder is empty ?

Give it a few minutes to show that it is downloading. It will probably take about 30 minutes to get the file.

The map works perfectly.
Its a ton better than the pre-loaded base map that came in my Elite 5.
