Who do you recommend for LS tuning?
I need to remove VATS, emissions and whatever basic things. 5.3 truck engine - no mods. Hoping to find someone in the Salt Lake area.

I've had good luck with Matt @Pauls Automotive in Sandy. He has tuned a 5.3 for me and my mildly modified 6.0.

That's pretty straight forward, but you probably know that. All you need is somebody that has HP Tuners that can purchase a credit for you ($50) to do the work.

I'd recommend also deleting 2 of the 4 Oxygen sensors and lowering the temp of the electric fans a tad so they kick on sooner.

I need to look into the cost of HP Tuners. I'll have another one to do after this but that one will end up with some mods. I'm guessing it would still be cheaper to pay someone to do it. I really don't want to get into the tuning side of this.
Yes, I plan on deleting the O2 sensors, EGR and Evap. Good suggestion on the fan temp. I'll also need to have it programmed to run with a non-electric/manual transmission. Does that still require running a VSS - even though it won't be controlling the transmission?
Anything I'm missing?

Probably so--the computer will use the signal to raise your idle speed when you're moving.
