Anyone here capable of doing some milling?

I have a small project in mind, basically take a railroad spike and cut a slot in the side big enough for business cards. Spikes are pretty soft metal. Anyone do this kind of stuff?

I'd probably have 5-10 cut.

If the cut can go all the way through, how about a drill press for two end holes, connect the holes using angle grinder? I would think finding someone with a drill press is easier than a mill.

I actually don't want the cut all the way thru, but 3/4 of the way. I have a drill press, hence the question about milling it. :D

And I want it to look professional, not like I hacked away at it with my grinder. X-D
