just got done setting up camp and unloading both jeeps... nice and quiet here and 50 degree!

I know I should have broken the rebuilt engine in before making the long trip down here but it did fine for only having 235 miles on the engine before leaving layton.... for some reason it would only get up to about 60 mph before it would just die... then about 20 miles after it warms up it ran fine up to 80 miles and hour... I didn't want to push it further than that... I did notice that it was only running on the primaries.. the vacuum secondaries were not opening up... so got to take that up tonight...

WE are in Riverside Oasis in slot 16 which is in the back corner....

Strikes revenge tomorrow morning!!!! See ya all when you get here!!!

Well just finished Strikes Revine and got home... it was hot today even though it only said 70 degrees it felt hotter!!! our poor pugs where dieing out there on the trail...

the only real problem I had was that my front springs came up and stuck to the frame... and when they were like that I was not able to climb the loose dirt that well...

There was one lady that rented a rubicon and she high centered it and we had to pull her off the rock... almost took out the rear diff cover. I hope she had the insurance... she didn't even know that you had to flip a switch to activate the lockers.... don't they teach you how to drive those before they rent them out?

my babe of a wife went up a side hill during the a turn and the guy behind her tried the same thing and got stuck due to two open diffs... I ended up tugging him backwards off that... we told him that poser shots always get ya!!! lol

Tomorrow.... Porcupine Rim....

pulled into town around 4ish today, sat around and relaxed, and went to the mexican place in the middle of town for dinner. Other than that, looked at all the rigs in town, and that was about it. VERY nice weather down here tho!

well just got back from Potato salad hill after running porcupine rim... it was definitely a great day here!!! The trail was lead by Skip Herzog... and was alot of fun despite the fact that we had 29 vehicles on the run.... of which I was the only one that had a carb... all the rest where fuel injected.... had no troubles and the run was nice and smooth...

Potato salad hill was exciting as well... saw a full size chev truck going up it that broke a hub but decided to continue on anyway... and then he broke the stub shaft on the other side... had to be pulled out by a full size Ford that when he pulled forward to put tension on the rope it pulled the bumper off the chevy! broke the welds right off....
Next carnage was a dodge ram 1500 that was running up and down the hill all the time we were there.. but on the easy side... they egged him on to the right side and about half way up he was putting down some noise when the steering bar bent into a U.... both tires were facing inward... he drove it that way a few times before leaving....
No roll overs to report...

Tomorrow will be Rose Garden Hill....

I was coming home from Grand Sunday afternoon on the train. Somewhere between Green River and Crescent Junction on the 70 freeway was a fairly nice ZJ that was being rope/strap towed back towards Moab that looked like it took either a pretty good hit to the front, or it had rolled.

Bad way to start Easter Jeep Safari.

Went to PSH around noon yesterday, not much going on. A full-size black chevy went up it once, then everyone left. Ran steelbender yesterday, had a lot of fun! Hated coming down the dugway tho, pulled my LR tire, while going down at an angle, leaning that way, VERY nerve racking...But had a lot of fun!

Did you disconnect your sway bar Colton? That always made a HUGE difference on my taco. Don't forget to reconnect it on the street though.
