Making a new trail?

Not sure if it’s possible. But how would one go about making a new 4x4 trail on blm land?
Is there a right way to do this and if so how would someone start the process? There’s a easy but fun trail local to me and not too many years ago they added some sxs trails. There is plenty of places for more trails and I think it would be a good place for them.
Just wondering if this is even possible.

It will massively depend on the current status and land use code of the BLM land in question and when they last did a RMP or Travel Plan. If there is one upcoming, getting something on their inventory would be straightforward albeit arduous bureaucracy. Some classifications will never allow it, LWWC, WSA, special wildlife/riparian zones, etc. Share or PM me a couple GPS points and I’d be happy to look into it. I’m quite versed on BLM land designations and accessing current status.

If it’s feasible/possible from a legality aspect. I’d work a few different angles before even contacting the BLM, again depending on the location.

Looks like you're just north of me, I'd love to have access to more nearby trails. What trail are you referring to that does currently exist? As far as working on getting new trails set up let me know if I can help in any way.

The road goes from mantua to Willard peak. It’s an easy 2wd road but has an awesome view at the top. There are a couple sxs/four wheeler trails that leave the main road and connects higher up. I thought it would be a good place for a 4x4 trail that does the same. It’s a fun trail for the views but thought it would be nice if there was a couple more technical spots to hit on the way up.

I'm seeing that as Forest Service land.

The USFS operates under a totally different recreation mandate and is very unlikely to add any new routes to their MVUM at current, particularly if they can't close something else to keep the mileage at a net zero imo.
