making a slideshow that will play on a dvd player

What is the best program to use to create a photo slideshow and then put it in a format that will play on a dvd player?

I've had the best luck with iDVD or iMovie or a combination of both (can't remember). That probably doesn't help a lot, though.

Are you using a mac or windows? You make it with powerpoint? Or windows moviemaker? Moviemaker is one of the easier ones to work with in my opinion. Do you know the options on your dvd player? Does it play WMA files, I think that is what they are called

It's a Denon...I'll have to see if it supports WMA

When my wife was in the hospital I used Windows Movie Maker. Works great with slide shows and videos. Very simple and easy to use and allows for several types of formats.

Wondershare PPT2DVD, I got this program from a friend and it is pretty slick. Create a slide show from PowerPoint and PPT2DVD will convert it to a DVD ready to burn.

I've done a couple of slideshows with windows movie maker and I think its the easiest out of the 2 programs I've used. It's basically self explanitory also, but I have never heard of the one rockmonkey speaks of
