South-East Utah March RME Trip; The San Rafael Swell

I'll try and get my truck up and going tomorrow, need to find a wheel bearing collar and see if I can get it to stop leaking. If I can't get it done I'll go with the Sequoia and see how it goes.

I am trying to make it out on this run. But waiting on a fuel tank for the jeep. Was supposed to be here today. So hopefully fed ex can get there stuff together tomorrow and deliver it. I will be coming down Saturday morning from the SLC also. But all depends on the parts delivery. If I make it, it will be myself in a green YJ, and my brother in his white Taco. I will post tomorrow afternoon with a definite plan.

It does sound like you'll be the only one showing up on Saturday, so if you can be earlier, that would be great. What time do you think you could make it, without pushing it?

We should be a pretty easy group to find, we'll be in/around the San Rafael Bridge CG area, possibly just a bit South (down river) if that location is crowded. The meeting point will be the campsite, we'll be there.

I wouldn't mind heading out at 5am which should get me down there around 8:30. I'll see what the other latecomers to the trip say tomorrow about when they want to get there and we can make a final decision. If others want to get there even earlier I just prefer to not have to get up before 3am. I've done too many trips where I had to leave at 3 to make it to Kanab in time for the permit lottery for the wave.

It's up to you, if 5 am is reasonable for you then great! Even if you aren't there until 9 am, that should be fine too.

I'm planning to get down there between 8:30 and 9. If other people are coming and going to show up a bit later I don't mind being early. I don't remember if there is cell service in that area or not but I will check the forum in the morning before I leave civilization to see if anybody has made a last minute post saying that they are coming.

Sounds like a plan! Eric just sent me a text from the campground, so apparently there is service. I'm not planning to check my phone too much, but will try in the morning to see if anyone else has anything important to say.
