Pics from the Mashed Potato run on the 23rd. This was anther fun trail with some great views, a fun obstacle called the Gravy Bowl and a little ravine at the end that was not difficult but really worked the suspension. I found out during the Pritchett run the next day that this trail was closed at some point and reopened. Thanks to those that worked on keeping this trail open. Richard will never forget this trail

It is in the same area as Pickle and they are great to run back to back. Wydej was our trail leader and would have a better idea of it's exact location.

I talked to FFMW the next day while helping with the Pritchett work and they did not mention either being closed. They mentioned Mash Potato had been reopened.

The Pickle was never closed under the new RMP. Mashed Potatoes had been designated as motorized single track, but MFFW lobbied the BLM to re-designate it for all vehicles, and it was re-opened just a few weeks ago.

For some reason I thought the Pickle was one of the "new" user created trails too new for inclusion on the RMP similar to Coyote. Absolutely thrilled to hear this is not the case.

The thanks on this one need to go to our club VP, Jim Molter (for those of you who have wheeled with us, Jim drives the "BAD-CAT" Samurai). Jim had been driving Mashed Potatoes for years, and when we found out it was designated single-track, he took it on himself to get it changed. Without Jim, we wouldn't be able to do half the things we do!

I am getting old. I've probably run the trail before and just don't remember it. It's not the same as "Hangman" is it? That one was in the same area when the pickle opened, but I haven't heard anything about it for a while.
