Sounds like inner air locks and Trepadors are a good combo.
The treps I had a problem with where we'll worn tires. I only did the tape on new ones to make sure I didn't have future problems which I have not had.Sounds like inner air locks and Trepadors are a good combo.
Yep. BFGs only true to size is the 37. All others are shorter. Maxxis is larger than stated size. Also to go to 42s with BFG you need to step up to a 20 inch wheel. I have never run red lable BFGs but I am sure they are great. Just have absolutely loved the maxxis tires. Fell in love when we put a well used set of them on our XJ and then Katelynn got into the Grassroots program with Maxxis so it was an easy step in that direction. My brother runs the 42’s on KMC’s, hasn’t had any burping issues.
Also, they are a damned impressive tire… but damned expensive too.
Also worth noting, they are probably the only true to size tire I’ve ever seen… mounted, on a Jeep, single digit psi they measure 42” tall.
Wow there you leave pitbulls out of this.Well good on them. I've been blown away by how crazy people get about tires. For example, people will defend Pitbull Tires. That's just a level of insanity nobody should ever get to.
I was also going to say earlier that Reds or Treps will work infinitely better than Milestars so it's funny that your buddy was running them.
