For anyone looking to purchase a set of Maxxis Creepy Crawlers in the Rocky Mountain area, I'd suggest calling Interstate Tire. I understand that they are the only current local dealer.

As for prices, I've seen Maxxis tires listed in the mags and the prices were usually less than comparable tires (MT/R's, BFG Muds, etc... and a hell of a lot less than BFG Krawlers). I'll see if I can find out more about prices.

My swampers took 45 psi before they seated. 20 seems kinda low to me.
Just my experience.

you ever hear about lubricant?

you ever read the warning on the sidewall of a tire?

I believe it says don't exceed 40 psi to seat the bead. With the proper amount of quality lubricant, any tire will seat with less than 20 psi.

How are these tires doing for you all? What are they like on the road? Noise, drive, wear.

Still love 'em! Still the best tires I've ever used! They hook up great on every surface I've had them on, but without the hopping present in other tires that hook up well. It's hard to say about tire wear and road noise. I've never had them on pavement. Hmm... I wonder if I can get a set for my Dodge or my TJ so I can see how they wear on the road... My original set has been to a couple competitions and quite a few recreational trips. The front edges of them are just getting rounded off a bit, which seems to further help with traction. I'm not sure where you can buy them, or how much they cost, but if you are in the market I would definately find out, they rock!
