I've been thinking about finding a 4x4 club to join. I would hate to join one that has alot of extreme built rigs in it since i don't want to be the guy slowing everyone else down. Who is a memeber of a club here, which one do you belong to and what do you like about it. What are the benifits of joining a club? stuff like that.

thanks

Sorry didn't know if i should have posted here or in chit chat.

You kind are..

RME is kinda like a club. There is someone going out almost every weekend. There are no yearly dues (yet ;) ), good people, and if you want a club sticker let Greg know.

Best "Club" in the valley if you ask me.

Very True I kind of look at RME as a Club i've gone a couple times with members from here and had a good time. I guess it's the best one to belong to because you can pick and choose who you think you can go with and beable to fallow on a trail. because we have a variety of built rigs. Like i couldn't fallow shawn the places he takes his cruiser but it's fun to watch him go the places he goes. " I have actually never met Shawn but you guy's know what i mean". just wondering about clubs.

I have wheeled with many members on this board. I don't care how built your rig is, I just want to get out and have fun. When we meet and go out together, we stay together and wait for each other. If you can't do some of the trail or trails just have fun and watch.

I enjoy getting a less built rig through a trail as much as I like getting myself through.

Right Pokey ;)

Anytime you don't want to wheel alone send me an email. I am available most saturdays and any time after 4. I have been trying to find other people to go with so that I don't have to go alone.

There are alot of great clubs in this valley, check out the clubs link...

The U4WDA is a great one for starts, they don't do a monthly trailride but when they do a quarterly one, its well worth attending. Most of the members are also members of other clubs as well as RME...

Come out to the next event and you will find more wheeling buddies than you can handle... :D

I think Vonski is a member of that one as well... take note clubs do there runs all over the state... the last U4WDA run was up your way (Kamas) and they recently did one at the Deer Creek Trail (right by you)... keep an eye on the different club pages and see what is going on with the different clubs...

Ha HA! Yeah, actually I think that was one of the only times that I have had my YJ out there when you guys were all out there. I have a group of friends that go out, but I think that RME is a great place to meet new people to wheel with.

no one ever wants to go wheelin with me because my rigs arent built enough :( (my sammy and my tracker)the only people ever gave my vehicles some credit to wheel with were jp088 and some other i met down in moab. I just want to meet some people to wheel with that will put their stocks rigs through sh*t and dont mind using a highlift if they cant make it through on the 1st or 2nd attempt. I'm sick of people with built up rigs giving me **** for needing a push or a highlift and that seems to be the only people in 4x4 clubs around here.....I dont mind helping someone else out and if I have to use a highlift to get through a trail, or get a tug, so what? find me a4x4 club of people that are willing to put up with stock rigs and take some body damage to get through a trail (even with a push or highlift) and arent prejudiced against someone who wants to take their stock vehicle through ahard trail, no matter what it takes. Too manhy of the clubs around here look down on you for trying a trail if your vehicle isnt "built" enough..true there are limitations to what a vehicle can do in stock form, but they will get alot further than people think if a person is determined and has a highlift and balls to take damage to the vehicle(I think spence and chandler can both attest to this)

What clubs have you based your views on?

I can think of two that could care less of your mods...

But on a side note, having a vehicle that doesn't slow the group is very important in a club style run... that being said, your Sami can go alot of places but YOU need to know when you should stay home...

I am in a club called the Wasatch Explorers, you can check out their sight at www.wasatchexplorers.com the web sight is a lil behind because the club president has been really busy. But we don’t care what kind off rig you have or how modified it is, it may be a pita but who gives a flying f@@k. We are out there to have a good time, not put you down be cause you don’t have the time/money/space or what ever to make you rig better. when we go on a run it is usually a run that every one can enjoy, if it is harder than normal we will tell you what’s up and you can decide if you want to come or not.

well i will be honest the wasatch explorers are slacking a lil. but i am trying to make a point that you dont need to be put down because your rig sucks or is not modified. just go out and have a good time, and not to feel like crap when you get home because you held a couple of people up on a trail, or some smart a$$ made a remark about your junk.
