I have always liked these cars, but I am curious as to what sort of issues they have as far as rust goes?

Am I sick for wanting one?

Maybe I should just finish my 73 240Z:rofl:

I had a '72 MG Midget. It was one of the funnest cars I've ever owned or driven. Can't tell you about rust. Mine was perfect, but I bought it when I lived in Texas.

No, but god damn have I always wanted one. One of the slickest looking cars ever made I've always thought. There is a storage facility up on Redwood and just south of I-80 where a guy has parked a couple.
As far as rust goes, the usual spots are what I've seen. Rockers, fenders. But those are just the few that I've seen. I think that there is a forum out there dedicated to these, try and find it. That would be the place to get info from.

Way back in the day, when I used to work on cars for a living, we restored a few. They made your Z cars rust look reasonable. The last time I was around one, I had one on a tow. I hooked the cable to the shipping hook (normal procedure) and it ripped the shipping hook right out of the body. They are pretty cool little rigs, but I'd get one from Texas or Arizona if it was me.
