military jets

What are all the military jets flying around for tonight? I have heard them in the air all evening and night now. I am in Sandy, but I am sure they must be all over the valley tonight

Sounds to me like only passneger jets. Probably just weather related change in the traffic pattern, not the first time this winter they have done that, it was in the news last year that they would use more of the valley airspace IIRC

I think it was the 419th coming home from deployment. They were 16's I'm pretty sure.

I'm glad I work where I can here military aircraft. When I retired from the Navy, I was concerned I'd never get to hear them again. But, I've been lucky enough to work in areas where I get to see them. Edwards AFB, China Lake Naval AirWarfare Center, Nellis AFB North Ranges and now at Dugway (UTTR)... I hope to always work where I can see and hear them. It doesn't matter whether they are USAF, US Navy, Army, Marine or Coast Guard airplanes or helos.

I thought I would hate living up here but I am like a little kid still when those jets fly over. I am truly jealous of those pilots.

and here I thought that with McCain in town there were flying cover for him... they fly over my house all the time...

if you ever get a chance go up at the south end of the runway and on the street there is a sign that states:

engine brakes restricted noise ordinance strictly enforced.... So day I am going to take the video camera up and take video of the jets flying overhead and then pan down to that sign... then send it to jay leno...lol
