Can anyone up in Logan shed some light on when normally the two fore mentioned areas are clear of snow for wheeling or at least cleared enough to wheel the loop? Thanks

I don't know if it's even worth checking until after about mid-May. They've got 150% of normal snowpack this year. I could have my little brother run up there and check, but I'd bet it'll be a while.

I was there yeterday and if I chain up I can make it to the quarry
still plenty of snow, last year I went up on the 4th of july and main canyon was still snow packed.
I did not dare drop into prov lake area on the 4th last year, too much snow.
I wouldnt wait till mid may to try it, I would try it once a week till I make it then I wont go back all summer.
I think the snow will last till mid july on the roadway up there.
It is melting fast though I would say that around 3feet has melted off of mt pisgue road in the last two weeks, btw that road is open for bussiness now, as of saturday night. Careful though sombody followed my tracks and slid off the road.

If you are bored of 5-mile, do a search for Delta or Desert Mountain. If I still had a 4x4 that was trailworthy, desert mountain would be the place to go. We had an RME get together a few years back out there.

The general direction is about 15-20 miles west of Sand Mountain.

Hey Spenc,

Any chance you have a topo of where this is? I took the ATV's out that way a few times and just wasn't sure where it was....

Thanks,

I think I know where that pass is... I guess I just need to head out there with someone that has been there.

It is hard to get out there if you take the wrong turns. You take the road for sand mountain and just keep going straight instead of turning down to the Little Sahara visitor's center. You can scroll around on that topozone website and follow the road to the north throught that pass where it quickly turns east. I think you follow that Jericho road and then the "No Name" road all the way out to the highway.

Anarchy Alley and most of the cool obstacles, you take that pass road south and then follow it around to the west and then you take the dirt roads that follow the range to the north. Anarchy Alley is very steep and you can pick it out on the topical if you know the general area it is in.
