Good times!

Lost a Sure-Fire flashlight somwhere on Mineral Basin if somebody by chance found it. While scouring the ground on the way out in the morning I noticed some pretty substantial leaks that someone in the night group must have had, pretty nasty.

I met up with some mine history freinds up Mary Ellen on Saturday, to my dismay the 'Mary Ellen Hilton' cabin above the Yankee mine has been heavily vandalized. Someone dragged the stove out of the cabin and destroyed it, ripped doors off the building and broke all the glass. We have no ability to police and educate our own. When Snowbird is faced with the decision of closing their private property or leaving it open, they are going to have a real easy finger to point at the damage people have already done to their property. :(

Sorry to hear about the cabin, it does suck to see history destroyed, its hard enough to keep the government policies from reclaiming it all.

I checked my driveway and no oil under my truck.

Steve thanks again for putting the trip together, I had a blast. I like your truck, nice work

Had to be in the group after us, I didn't notice it on my way up but it was really noticeable on the way out. I'm not sure it was gear oil, it very well could have been engine oil, regardless it was quite a bit of fluid.
